Because “airport” land currently houses a bewildering mix of both aviation and non-aviation uses, including art studios, college classrooms, design firms, architects, restaurants, and others, ending all the leases at the Airport when the 1984 Agreement ends next year is going to be complicated.

After consulting with a number of concerned residents, in the end I determined that we can’t let “complicated” stand in the way of “necessary.”  We just cannot extend all those leases.
