What better way to get more Santa Monicans onto the Big Blue Bus than to give every resident a free bus pass?

After struggling with rate hikes last spring, I realized proposed transit-oriented development revenue could be used both to “buy” every resident a Big Blue Bus pass, AND to qualify for matching county, state, and federal transportation funding.

My idea is now being studied.
